Chabon Paces the Lancers During Second Day of WAC Tournament

PAYSON, AZ--- The California Baptist women's golf program completed day two of the Western Athletic Conference Championship Tournament on Saturday evening, carding a fourth-place team standing as CBU heads into the final day. The Lancers are just eight strokes away from first place Abilene Christian behind Grand Canyon and Seattle University.
Sofia Chabon continues to sit at the top of the individual standings after finishing the second round even with par, good for a second-place finish. Pusanisa Ekkantrong also had a solid day out on the course and bumped herself into third place with a 1-over par day two score. Chabon and Ekkantrong have put themselves in the running for an individual championship title, battling against first-place Ryann Honea of Abilene Christian.
The Lancers will begin their third round of the WAC Championship on Sunday morning with Samantha Dizon teeing off first for California Baptist at 10:40 A.M.
