RIVERSIDE--- The California Baptist men's golf program will head to Northern Arizona this weekend to compete in the Western Athletic Conference Championship Tournament at Chapparal Pines Country Club. The postseason tournament will feature a field of 11 teams with a chance to continue the 2023-2024 campaign at the NCAA Men's Golf Championship Tournament.
Chapparal Pines is known for its hilly landscape as golfers move through the 18-hole par-72 course. Built in 1972, the course sits at over 5,000 feet elevation with narrow corridors that force golfers to be precise on their tee-off. The 14th hole has proven to be one of the more difficult as it spans 500 yards with a par-5.
Traveling for the tournament will be Fred Tindale, Eeli Kujanpaa, Sean Citherlet, Kurtis Rodriguez, and Luke Bartram. Ka'ena Kaulia will be the alternate for California Baptist. Tindale has been playing well at the most recent tournaments for the Lancers and will be the CBU golfer to keep an eye on this weekend in Arizona.
