CBU Sits in Fourth After Two Rounds at WAC Tournament

PAYSON, AZ--- The California Baptist men's golf team completed the first and second rounds of the Western Athletic Conference Championship Tournament, finishing in fourth against the 11 universities. Luke Bartram carded the highest individual finish for the Lancers heading into day three of the weekend and currently sits tied for fourth. CBU is just two strokes behind first-place Tarleton State, which is currently 10-over par as a team.
Bartram scored even with par on Friday to kick off the tournament and continued his low ways into the second round with a 71 score to help lift the Lancers a few spots in the team standings. Kurtis Rodriguez also had a solid day on the greens and carded a 1-under pair on Saturday for a 21st-place standing. Fred Tindale came in even with par on the second day after going seven-over on Friday. Eeli Kujanpaa has been consistent at the WAC Tournament and finished the second day tied for 21st after going 2-over. Sean Citherlet rounds out the CBU scorecard tied for 40th after going over par on both days of the difficult course.

The Lancers will return to the Golf Course at Chaparral Pines on Sunday morning to finish the WAC Tournament with a chance to place in the top-three spots.
