
Lancers Dominate in Tempe

TEMPE, AZ--- The California Baptist STUNT program kicked off its 2025 campaign over the first weekend of February, tallying a trio of wins over three club STUNT schools. CBU continues its domination early this year and is now 83-0 as a program as Head Coach Brandon Seagondollar leads the squad on its hunt for a perfect 100-0 this season.
CBU 24 - GCU 0
California Baptist opened its season against a familiar foe, Grand Canyon University. The Lancers breezed past the Lopes with a perfect 24-0 win after earning a point for every routine in every quarter. Freshman Kaleigh Hafner came up big for CBU during her collegiate debut, earning Highest Rated Player with 39 points. Abigail Eshleman picked up right where she left off last season with 25 points as Tumbler of the Game, while Ava Hersman earned the Stunter of the Game nod for her 33 points earned on the mat.
CBU 23 - ASU 2
The Lancers' domination continued into their second game on Saturday as they faced the tournament host, Arizona State. CBU notched a 23-2 win behind an impressive performance from Alexcius York and Ella Hodson who were Highest Rated Players of the Game, scoring 66 points each. Eshleman picked up her second Tumbler of the Game nod with 50 points, while Brodi Perrault tallied 65 points on the mat, good for a Tumbler of the Game honor.
CBU 24 - UC Davis 0
Another impressive performance from Hafner secured the Lancer's final win of the weekend against UC Davis. CBU dominated with a perfect 24-0 victory, with Hafner scoring 43 points and securing the title of Tumbler of the game. Michaela Grim totaled 45 points on Sunday morning for her first Highest Rated Player nod of the 2025 season, while Hodson earned Stunter of the Game for her 39 points tallied on the mat.
CBU will continue the season next weekend as they take on the Dallas Baptist Tournament from February 7th through 8th.
