SAN DIEGO, CA--- The California Baptist men's golf team headed south this week to compete in the Triton Invitational at Torey Pines Golf Course hosted by UC San Diego. The Lancers finished tied for 12 of 20 programs, with Eeli Kujanpaa finishing in the highest spot for CBU at 18.
In a traditionally challenging course, Kujanpaa was consistent on the course and finished with 75 during his first round. The second round saw a 4-four par mark, but the senior finished strong on the last day with a 74, which secured a top-20 placement. Just behind Kujanpaa was Bryden Brown, who struggled during the first two rounds but scored the lowest round of the tournament for the Lancers on day three. Brown's last round scored 70, which was good for 33rd.
