Orozco Named WAC Pitcher of the Week

RIVERSIDE--- The Western Athletic Conference announced its Player of the Week on Monday afternoon, citing Julian Orozco as the Pitcher of the Week. CBU ended its previous week 3-1 after taking the series against the University of the Pacific after defeating San Diego State on the road.
Orzoco came out in three appearances of relief for the Lancers this week, posting 6.1 innings of work and allowing just four hits. The right-hander tossed nine strikeouts, with seven coming against Pacific on Sunday to secure the series win. Orozco also allowed no runs during his three appearances while giving up just four free passes.
The award marks CBU's second of the season and Orozco's first WAC Weekly honor. Ryan Kittredge has also been previously selected as a Pitcher of the Week this year.
