
CBU's 2024-2025 Season Comes to End in Payson

PAYSON, AZ--- The California Baptist men's golf team completed their 2024-2025 season on Sunday afternoon at the Golf Course at Chaparral Pines during the final round of the Western Athletic Conference Tournament. The Lancers finished in sixth of nine programs after carding their best day as a team on the challenging course, while Jared Abercrombie had the best finish individually for CBU.
After finishing three-under par, Abercrombie ended as the highest-finishing individual for California Baptist with an 11th place finish. Eeli Kujanpää was just behind with a 15th place finish and shot 73 after round three. Bryden Brown went two-over on the third day of the tournament, which tied him for 16th, while Lorenzo Lombardozzi ended tied for 23 with a 74 on the final day. Sean Citherlet rounded out the squad with a 78 during the final round, posting a 28th place finish to end his collegiate career.
CBU finishes its season two top-five tournament finishes as a team. Seattle U ultimately went on to win the 2025 WAC Tournament, just three strokes ahead of Grand Canyon and four ahead of Utah Valley.
