RIVERSIDE--- Kurtis Rodriguez tied for sixth at the Southern California Golf Association U.S. Amateur Qualifying round in Rancho Santa Fe, California, earning him a spot at the upcoming U.S. Amateur Golf Championship in August.
Despite being injured through the 2024-2025 season, Rodriguez rehabilitated and returned to the course this summer. His qualification for the U.S. Amateur Championship came behind an impressive 1-under final score and four birdies in the final round of qualifying, placing him in the top 13 golfers to move on to the nationally recognized tournament.
The U.S. Amateur Golf Championship is set to take place in San Francisco, California, at the Olympic Golf Club from August 11th through the 17th as the tournament celebrates its 125th anniversary. This will be the fourth time the Olympic Club has hosted the tournament.
