RIVERSIDE --- Riding a three-game winning streak, the Lancers return to action on Wednesday with the second installment of their season series against Utah Tech. Entering the week with a .500 record in WAC action, CBU will play twice this week inside the Dale E. and Sarah Ann Fowler Events Center, as the race for postseason seeding heats up.
The Lancers have won three in a row, a streak that began with an 84-72 victory against Utah Tech on January 8. CBU followed that with a home win against Southern Utah and a road victory against Abilene Christian.
At 3-3, the Lancers are tied with Utah Tech for third place in the WAC standings. Utah Valley, CBU's opponent on Saturday, leads the conference at 5-1.
The Lancers were paced by two 20-point performances in their first meeting with the Trailblazers. Devon Malcolm's 20 points were a career-high at the Division I level, as he did so in 16 minutes off the bench. Malcolm also added six rebounds and four steals.
