Michael Robinson was promoted to Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning in 2021 after serving as California Baptist University’s Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach in the fall of 2017.
He currently oversees all performance responsibilities for men's and women’s basketball, including nutrition, recovery, home and road game day preparation. He has perviously overseen similar responsibilities with Lancer women’s volleyball, men's and women’s water polo, men’s and women’s swim, and wrestling.
Robinson came to CBU in 2014-15 for his senior season on the basketball court after spending three seasons with NCAA Division I UC San Diego. He appeared in eight games for the Lancers and was named to the PacWest All-Academic team.
Robinson graduated from CBU in 2016 with a B.S. in Exercise Science and obtained his M.S. in Exercise Science in 2017.
Upon graduation, he served as the head assistant men’s basketball coach and director of strength and conditioning and player development for Citrus College in Glendora. He also worked as a graduate assistant in the Kinesiology department and self-ran a training business working with athletes on skill and player development and sports performance.
