Since joining the Division I ranks, CBU has a second-place finish in conference play, as well as claiming the 2020-21 regular season and WAC Tournament championships. They also earned the program's first two WNIT Postseason victories, first against New Mexico in round one. They followed that up by defeating San Francisco in the second round with a historically excellent shooting night where they rewrote the WNIT record books with their team field goal percentage of 63.3%.
In 2022-23, the women's basketball team finished 22-13 with a 13-5 conference record. The team's 22 wins marked the third-straight 20-win season for the Lancers and five winning season since entering DI. CBU reached the WAC Championship game for the second time in three years after defeating #5 Utah Tech and #1 Stephen F. Austin. The Lancers were invited to the Women's Basketball Invitational and brought home the championship, defeating North Dakota, Georgia Southern, and New Mexico State en route to the title.
As Associate Head Coach, Ned holds a many responsibilities off-the-court, including acting as the primary recruiting coordinator, focusing on wing-play coaching, and handling many scouting responsibilities.
As the Director of Basketball Operations at UCI, Ned served as the liaison between the business office and women’s basketball managing the programs expense and reimbursement. Her responsibilities included the day-to-day operations and administrative duties such as team travel, special events, film exchange and editing, coordinating facility availability, and academic advising.
Ned previously coached for the Lancers during the 2013-14 season, helping guide CBU to the PacWest Tournament Championship game. Prior to CBU, Ned was the assistant varsity girls' basketball coach at her alma mater, Perris High School, for three years. While coaching at Perris, the Panthers were second in the Sunbelt League and qualified for the CIF playoffs all three years. Three of her players went on to receive basketball scholarships.A former Anteater star, Ned currently holds the UCI record for career field goals attempted (1,329) and is ranked tied for fifth in career scoring (1,333), third in three-pointers attempted (389) and sixth in field goals made (485), free throw percentage (.755) and three pointers made (113) all-time. She set a new UCI season record with 479 field goals attempted in 2006-07.
She was a three-time All-Big West Conference selection, earning first-team All-Big West distinction as a junior. She was the first player to be honored as the Big West Defensive Player of the Year twice. She scored a career-high 37 points in a win over Loyola Marymount in 2007, the most points by a Big West player that year. She was named Big West Player of the Week twice over her four year career.
Ned graduated from UCI with a degree in sociology in 2007 and completed her Masters in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia in December 2015.
She played professionally CBV Binnenland (Holland) of the Dutch Premier League. She averaged 14.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.8 steals and 2.0 assists per game in an injury-shortened season before continuing her pro career in Portugal. With GD ESSA, Ned was the team's leading scorer with 19.2 points a game (second in the league) and also averaged 7.8 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 1.8 assists.
