Brittany Chambers joined California Baptist University women’s basketball’s coaching staff in August 2017 after playing for the Lancers the year before.
Since joining the staff the Lancers are 99-53 overall (65.%) with the programs first-ever Western Athletic Conference regular season and tournament championships claimed in 2020-21.
Chambers oversees many aspects of the program off-the-court including oversight of all equipment needs and orders for the program, social media and creative design coordinators, primary defensive coach, and opponent scouting preparations.
In 2022-23, the women's basketball team finished 22-13 with a 13-5 conference record. The team's 22 wins marked the third-straight 20-win season for the Lancers and five winning season since entering DI. CBU reached the WAC Championship game for the second time in three years after defeating #5 Utah Tech and #1 Stephen F. Austin. The Lancers were invited to the Women's Basketball Invitational and brought home the championship, defeating North Dakota, Georgia Southern, and New Mexico State en route to the title.
The Lancers went 17-12 in Chambers' first season on the staff (2017-18), taking third in the conference standings to advance to the PacWest Tournament.
As a player, Chambers was apart of CBU’s rise to national prominence, playing on the team from 2014 to 2016. In that span, the Lancers logged a 74-22, qualified for the NCAA Division II postseason twice, won the 2015 West Region Championship and finished runner-up in all of D-II.
Chambers graduated from CBU with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design/new media. She added to her education resume by earning an Master's of Kinesiology - Sports Management from California Baptist in the summer of 2020.
