Wrestled unattached in open tournaments during his redshirt season... Posted a 7-5 record at 197 pounds as an unattached grappler... Placed third at 197 bracket at California Collegiate Open... Won three matches by pin and two in overtime.

Prepped at Franklin High in Elk Grove, Calif., where he graduated in 2019... Qualified for California CIF State Meet twice and placed seventh at 182 pounds in 2019... Won three Delta League, two CIF Southern Section Division titles and a Masters championship... Served as a three-year captain for the Wildcats... Placed at Doc Buchanan Tournament.
