Also at Long Beach State, Wong worked as the Video Coordinator and Assistant Women's Basketball Operations, where he maintained and managed the prospective student-athlete recruitment database, assisted with travel itineraries and post-travel expenses spreadsheets, coordinated pre- and post-game meals, assisted with the setup and logistics of all practices and games, helped coordinate and organize summer camps and clinics, and coordinated scheduling of games. With the Clippers, Wong helped with autograph sessions with the players, accompanied players to community event appearances, assisted with game-night events (like the silent auctions and other on-court presentations), and assisted with the NBA Cares and Read to Achieve programs.
For three years (2014-17), Wong also taught physical education in the Downey Unified School District.
Wong graduated from Long Beach State with a bachelor's in kinesiology, with an emphasis in exercise science, in 2009. He went on to obtain his master's degree in sports management at CBU in 2010.
