Sarai Stamper found Idom on the left side, and the freshman easily put away the breakaway for a 2-0 Lancer lead at the 28:17 mark. Idom then did it again just 43 seconds later when she converted a pass from O'Connor to make it 3-0 just 29 minutes into the game.
That score stood through the intermission as the Lancer defense dug their heels in and allowed just one Royal shot in the first 45 minutes.
In the 58th minute, senior Alyssa Turner tallied her second goal of the year to round out the Lancer scoring and for all intents and purposes put the game away. Idom collected the assist.
The Royals finally got on the board just 28 seconds after Turner's goal when Sharyse Trujillo scored to prevent Lancer GK Ashley Aranda from recording a clean sheet. Aranda made 2 saves, both in the second half.
