RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- With the nation's leading goalscorer in Ryan Steiger sitting out the nightcap, Mike Looy stepped up to the plate, scoring 3 goals as No. 20 California Baptist beat Occidental, 11-3 to end a 2-win day.

Looy also netted a pair of scores in a earlier, 10-8, win against George Washington as the Lancers improve to 16-7 on the season.

Sean Inoue kicked things off with an Occidental goal less than a minute into the contest, but Jon Miller kept the Tigers in check from that point out, allowing the Lancers attackers to net 10 unanswered goals. The rally, which lasted all the way until halfway into the fourth period, was highlighted by 3 goals apiece from both Looy and Chris Morgan.

In the first game of the afternoon, Steiger netted 4 goals, including 2 in the final quarter, as the Lancers posted a, 10-8, comeback win over George Washington .

Down, 2-0, early in the second quarter, Steiger found the net a little more than 2 minutes into the period, sparking a 3-0 Lancer run that made the score 3-2 in favor of CBU.

Later in the period, John Hornberger scored a pair of goals for the Colonials to take a 5-4 lead, but Steiger's second goal of the afternoon tied it up at 5-5 going into the half.

It looked like George Washington was planning on regaining momentum in the second half, as David Zenk scored with 4:24 left on the clock, but CBU's Mike Looy and Aaron Abellano each scored a goal to take the lead for good at 7-6.

Steiger posted a pair of goals in the waning minutes of the game as the Lancers withstood another goal from Zenk that brought the Colonials within a goal, at 9-8. Steiger's fourth goal of the day made the final score 10-8.
