SANTA BARBARA, Calif. --- Chris Morgan and Charlie Weaver scored 2 goals apiece, but it wasn't enough, as the No. 20-ranked Lancers fell, 12-7, in their season finale to No. 3 UC Santa Barabara.
The Lancers end the season at 23-12, which is the first time since the team has finished with 20 or more wins since 2002. The squad's .657 winning percentage is fourth-best in school history. Eleven of CBU's 12 losses came to teams ranked in the Top-20, including the final 3 of the season.
Meanwhile, the win bumps the Gauchos to 19-12.
Jon Miller hauled down 9 saves on the afternoon to conclude the year with a school-record 272 saves on the season. The junior goalie had set the previous high-water mark at 249 in a single season as a 2004 freshman, and was second in the country in that category this year.
Ryan Steiger finished just 4 goals shy of the school single-season record with a score on the afternoon. He scored 91 goals on the season.
Steiger, Josh Harris and Mike Looy supported Morgan and Weaver with a goal each.
