COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --- Aaron Abellano scored 5 goals on the day and was named to the All-Tournament team, along with Ryan Steiger, who found the net 9 times throughout the tournament, including 8 times in Saturday's action.
The No. 19-ranked Lancers (9-4) opened the day with a, 13-5, win over MIT, as Abellano nettted 4 goals in the victory.
California Baptist broke out with 5 goals in the opening quarter, including a pair by Abellano, as goalkeeper Jon Miller held the Engineers in check with a mere 3 goals allowed in the first 3 periods.
Steiger and Chris Morgan each posted a pair of goals while 5 other Lancers found the net once in the win.
The Lancers ran into a hot No. 18-ranked Air Force squad in the nightcap, as Falcons goalkeeper Denver Saunders?the tournament MVP?allowed just 5 goals and held Steiger scoreless in the tournament finale.
