Ferreira Picks Up Third Honor

The conference media office announced the honor Monday for games played March 26-April 1.
Ferreira helped lead California Baptist University to an 8-1 week, getting two wins in a four game series against Chaminade and three more victories at the Tournament of Champions hosted by Cal State Stanislaus.
The CBU senior posted a 1.75 ERA, allowing 19 hits and seven earned runs in 28.0 innings pitched. She held opposing batters to a .186 average at the plate and allowed just 13 free passes.
Ferreira currently leads the PacWest with a 1.43 ERA and has a conference best .191 opponents' batting average. Her 17-2 record puts her atop the wins list this season in the conference as well.
Ferreira is the only Lancer player to win the award three times this season. She has also been named NCCAA National Player of the Week earlier this season.
