BAKERSFIELD, Calif.— California Baptist University beefed up its schedule once again with a visit to NCAA Division I Bakersfield's Hillman Aquatics Complex on Saturday. The Lancers came in second with a team score of 120 points and wins in seven individual events. The Roadrunners tallied 180 points to outlast CBU.
Josh Hanson and Nikolay Klepikov led the men with two individual wins each for the Lancers. Hanson won the 100- and 200-yard backstrokes in 51.98 seconds and 1:49.67, respectively. Klepikov swept the 100 and 200 breaststrokes in 59.18 and 2:25.14 respective times. Derek Wedel also had a first-place finish with his recorded time of 1:56.10 in the 200 butterfly.
On the diving board, Kendel Rummell came in first place for the Lancers with 263.47 points on the 1-meter. Zach Mullins finished with 255.60 points and Andrew Rotundo with 204.07 points in the event for the Lancers. Mullins won on the 3-meter board (266.62 points), while Rotundo finished in third (259.80 points) and Rummell tallying 234.67 points for the Lancers.
