RESULTS
GRAND JUNCTION, Co. — After three long days in Grand Junction, the fifth annual Colorado Mesa University Invite, hosted by Colorado Mesa University, has come to an end. The Lancers began in fourth place and ended the meet with an overall second-place finish, scoring 812 points. CBU beat out teams such as University of Wyoming and Adams State University.
Nikolay Klepikov proved himself once again, claiming yet another event at the invite. In the 200-yard breaststroke, Klepikov clocked in at one minute, 59.71 seconds for his second first-place finish of the meet.
Chaffin Blake also won an event for CBU, grabbing the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 46.45 seconds.
Elijah Borrows scored points for the Lancers with a third-place finish in the 1650-yard freestyle (16:10.71). Freshman Robert Griffith grabbed fourth, clocking in with a time of 16:11.00, followed by Derek Wedel just six and a half seconds later at 16:17.33 for fifth.
On the diving board, Zach Mullins took third place on the 3-meter with 454.40 points, while Kendall Rummell came in fourth with 398.45 points and Andrew Rotundo finished up for the Lancers with 368.70 points.
