Lancers Complete Final Round at Oregon State Invitational

CORVALLIS --- California Baptist University completed the final round of the Oregon State Invitational at the Trysting Tree Golf Club on Tuesday.
After halting play due to darkness during Monday's round, the Lancers were back on the course Tuesday to finish the 54-hole two-day event. Host Oregon State won the tournament with an 18-under-par team score of 834. San Francisco was the next closest in second with a 1-over-par 853, while Utah and Arizona tied for third with a 13-over-par 865 team score.
CBU finished with a 310-295-304=909 team score to take 15th.
Justin Cross moved up 15 spots during the final day, leading the Lancers with a 77-76-71=224 to place T-40th. Michael Sarro wasn't far behind at T-45th with a 77-70-78=225. Ryan Monsalve and John Hayes both finished in a tie for 64th after shooting a three-round total 230. Jack Solis moved up one spot to take T-77th with a 241 total.
Carson Barry of Oregon State won the tournament by six strokes after firing off an 11-under-par 66-69-67=202. Barry also made a hole-in-one on the 224-yard par-3 on hole four.
The Lancers will end their fall schedule at the Visit Stockton Invite on Oct. 21-23 at the Reserve at Spanos Park.
