Booth Named WAC Pitcher of the Week

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Travis Booth was named the Western Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week after he opened California Baptist University's series against Pacific with a dominant start.
It is the second time this season a Lancer has earned the award after Angel Delgado picked up the distinction on Feb. 25th. CBU won its third series of the season over the Tigers, and Booth got his team off to a great start in a 6-0 shutout win on Thursday.
Booth held the Tigers to just three hits over eight scoreless innings. He finished the game with nine strikeouts and just one walk after taking a no-hitter into the fourth inning. He leads the WAC in ERA at 0.53 through 17.0 innings pitched, boasting a 2-0 record with 21 strikeouts and just four walks.
CBU ends a 17-game stay in Riverside to open the season on Wednesday when it hosts Fairleigh Dickinson at 2 p.m. The Lancers will then make their first trip out of town to UC Santa Barbara for three games Friday through Sunday.
