Hallam, Monsalve Lead Lancers at Redhawk Invitational

RESULTS
SEATTLE – Ben Hallam and Ryan Monsalve both turned in two under-par rounds to get California Baptist University off to a strong start two rounds through the Seattle U Redhawk Invitational on Monday.
With 18 holes left to play on Tuesday, the Lancers are in a three-way tie for sixth place after shooting four-under-par 564 on Monday at the Chambers Bay. CBU opened the day with a three-under 281 and finished it with a one-under 283.
The Redhawk Invitational is another challenging field for the Lancers, with five top-100 teams in Golfstat's NCAA Division I rankings in attendance. Forty-first ranked UCLA leads the 18-team field with a 537.
Fresno State (541), No. 53 Oregon State (551), Drexel (554) and UT Arlington (559) make up the top five, while host Seattle U and No. 99 Little Rock are tied with CBU for sixth. The Lancers hold leads over No. 90 Indiana (ninth, 565); 105th ranked Northern Colorado (12th, 567) and No. 71 Utah (16th, 571). The final round of the Redhawk Invitational begins with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Fans can follow along with live stats on BirdieFire.
Hallam is tied for sixth place individually with after he shot six-under 136 on Monday. Monsalve pieced together a three-under 139 (69-70) to put himself in a tie for 20th place.
UCLA's Hidetoshi Yoshihara leads tournament with a 129, while four golfers are tied for fourth with 135s. The 136 from Hallam is tied for the eighth-best 36-hole total in program history. The senior got better as the day went on, opening with a two-under 69 and carding a 67 in the second round.
All five Lancers were right around par all day. Dan Heron shot 145 (73-72) to put himself in a tie for 65th place. John Hayes (71-75) and Harrison Kingsley (72-74) are both tied for 70th with 146s.
