Lancers Start Regular-Season Finale

RESULTS
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – With 18 holes left in its regular season, California Baptist University will look to finish strong at the UC Santa Barbara Collegiate on Tuesday.
The Lancers ended the first 36 holes at the Sandpiper Golf Club in sixth place, with four golfers ranking in the tp-18 individually. Senior Ben Hallam continues to lead CBU in an eighth-place tie in the 57-golfer field.
Host UC Santa Barbara leads the eight teams with a 569, while CBU is only 13 shots back in sixth with a 582 (293-289). Weber State (575), Cal State Monterey Bay (577), UC Riverside (577) and UC San Diego (580) round out the top five. Wednesday's third and final round begins with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start, with live stats available at Golfstat.com.
Hallam shot even-par 72 in both rounds for a 144 (72-72) total through the first 36 holes. CSUN's Tomas Helo leads individually with a 138, with the rest of the top five coming in at 142 or better.
The Lancers' Harrison Kingsley (71-75), Dan Heron (75-71) and Justin Cross (75-71) are all tied for 18th with 146s.
Daeyoung Kim made his CBU debut as an individual and currently is tied for 45th with a 154. He opened with a 79 and posted a four-stroke improvement in round two. Ryan Monsalve is in 47th with a 156 (79-77) after cutting two strokes off his round-one score.
