Lancers Wrestling Announce Schedule Changes, Season Opener Now a Doubleheader

RIVERSIDE – California Baptist University wrestling announced changes to its 2021 schedule on Wednesday.
The Lancers' season opener at Utah Valley this Friday has been turned to a doubleheader. CBU will face the Wolverines first at 10 a.m. Pacific and then face 25th-ranked Northern Colorado not long after at 11:45 a.m. It replaces the Lancers' and Bears originally scheduled meeting for Monday, Jan. 11. Both duals will be streamed live on the WAC Digital Network and FloWrestling. FloWrestling requires a paid subscription, while the WAC Digital Network is complimentary.
CBU's home dual with Vanguard has also been postponed from Jan. 2 to Feb. 6 at noon.
Utah Valley is a member of the Big 12 Conference and qualified three wrestlers for the 2020 NCAA Division I Championships before it was canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Northern Colorado is another Big 12 squad that qualified five individuals for the 2020 NCAAs. UNC is coming off a 24-19 dual victory over No. 23 Wyoming that kept it firmly in the NCAA rankiings. It will be CBU's first-ever meeting with the Wolverines, Bears and Lions.
