
Darkness Suspends First Day At Oregon State Invitational

CORVALLIS --- The second round of the Oregon State Invitational has been suspended due to darkness, as California Baptist University finished the first round in fifth out of 15 teams.
The 15-team field is taking on the par-71 Trysting Tree Golf Club in the Pacific Northwest, as Oregon State University is hosting the 54-hole event. The suspension horn was sounded with four holes left on the day, as a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. will restart the second round on Tuesday, Oct. 12.
Sean Citherlet led the Lancers in the first round, firing a 2-under-par 69 to place T-4th. John Hayes finished behind Citherlet at T-13th with an even-par 71, while Eeli Kujanpää signed a 3-over-par 74 to take T-33rd. Luke Bartram opened his first tournament with the Lancers at T-43rd with a 4-over-par 75, and James Mackie shot an 8-over-par 79 to place T-71st.
The Lancers will look to climb the leaderboard following the completion of the second round.
