
Teraoka's First-Half Hat Trick Highlights Lancers' WWPA Game at #11 UCSD

The 18th-ranked Lancers battled the No. 11 Tritons but could not pull out the win on the road, as UCSD came up with the 17-7 victory.
CBU moves to 11-11 on the year and 1-2 in WWPA play, while UC San Diego improves to 10-7, 3-1. The Lancers will next travel to Fresno Pacific for a conference game on Thursday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m.

Zach Lowery logged a goal, assist and steal in the game to give him 186 career assists, which is one off matching the program record. PJ McDonough scored the first goal of the game on the opening possession and has now scored in all 22 games he's played this year. McDonough also had an assist, drawn ejection and two steals.
Tristan Felberg had a big game in the cage with seven saves by halftime and 11 saves and a steal over three quarters. Cameron Cullen also had a goal and an assist.

ON THE RECORD
Lowery is on the verge of setting another CBU record, as he ranks second in CBU history with 186 career assists – just one off the all-time record currently held by Chris Morgan's (187). He also holds the Lancers' career records in games with a goal, assist and steal (53) and multi-assist games (56), which he first set against UC Davis on Friday.

The senior attacker and 2020-21 All-WWPA First Teamer also matched CBU's single-game record for assists with seven against Fresno Pacific last week. Overall, he ranks fifth in career steals (147), fourth in multi-steal games (39) and 19th in career goals (142) and multi-goal games (36).
ON A RUN
McDonough's scoring streak is the fourth longest in CBU's single-season history. It actually goes back to 37 games overall, as he scored in all 12 games in the 2020-21 campaign and the final three games of 2019. McDonough earned All-WWPA First Team honors and NCAA Division I Second Team distinction last season, which made him the first Lancer to earn First or Second Team All-American status in Division I.
