ON THE RECORD
Lowery came into Thursday just one assist off tying Chris Morgan's CBU record of 187 assists. He'll look to build up the record as much as he can, with eight more regular-season games left this year. Lowery also holds the Lancers' career records in games with a goal, assist and steal (53) and multi-assist games (57).
ON A RUN
PJ McDonough scored CBU's first goal of the game and has now scored in all 23 games he's played this year. He also had three steals and a drawn ejection in the win.
McDonough's scoring streak is tied for the third longest in CBU's single-season history. Aaron Steiger owns the longest single-season scoring streak at 38 games set back in 2010, while Logan Mena's 24-straight games in 2018 rank second.
McDonough has actually scored in his last 38 games overall, as he scored in all 12 games in the 2020-21 campaign and the final three games of 2019. McDonough earned All-WWPA First Team honors and NCAA Division I Second Team distinction last season, which made him the first Lancer to earn First or Second Team All-American status in Division I.
WWPA STANDINGS UPDATE
CBU's win moved it into fifth place in the WWPA standings. UC Davis (4-0) and Loyola Marymount (3-0) are still undefeated in league play, while Air Force leads the WWPA in wins (5-1). UC San Diego (3-1) also has just one conference loss so far. Santa Clara (1-3), Concordia (0-4) and Biola (0-6) make up the bottom half of the WWPA standings.
