
Kujanpää Leads Lancers After Day One At Visit Stockton Invitational

STOCKTON --- California Baptist University made the trek up North for the Visit Stockton Invitational on Thursday, as the Lancers teed it up with 15 teams at the Stockton Country Club.
Washington State went into the clubhouse as the day one leader with a 16-under-par 268 team score. BYU is two strokes behind with a 270 team score and Saint Mary's is in third with a 272 team score. The Lancers currently sit in 13th with a 291 team score as they are seven strokes away from cracking the top-8.
Eeli Kujanpää led the Lancers on the day, producing his third round in the 60's with a 3-under-par 68. With four birdies and a bogey on the day, Kujanpää is T-11th out of the 90-player field.

James Mackie finished with a 1-over-par 72 to place T-40th, while Sean Citherlet signed a 4-over-par 75 to finish T-72nd. Both John Hayes and Luke Bartram recorded a 5-over-par 76 and are currently T-75th. Min Jun Kim competed as an individual for the Lancers and is T-82nd with a 77.
Kristian Bressum of Saint Mary's and Pono Yanagi of Washington State are currently tied for first with a 6-under-par 65.
The Lancers will look to move up the leaderboard in Friday's second round. A shotgun start will take place at 7:45 a.m.
