California Baptist will look to break the tie in the WAC West Division when it hosts Grand Canyon on Saturday at 1 p.m. back in the Van Dyne Gym. The Lopes are tied with the Lancers at 15-4 overall and 7-3 in the league.
From there, the Lancers have three more conference matches on the road as they look to secure their best-ever finish in the WAC. The road trip starts at Chicago State (Nov. 4) and ends at Utah Valley (Nov. 11) and Dixie State (Nov. 13).
KEYS TO VICTORY
Christine Graf went off for 13 kills on a .464 hitting percentage, as she didn't make an error on 28 swings. It was Graf's fourth-straight match with double-digit kills and 12th of the season.

Six Lancers posted at least six kills on the night. Anouk van Noord finished with nine kills and four blocks, while Tesa Oaks nearly had a double-double of nine kills, 11 digs, three blocks and an ace. Laura Walewska added eight kills on a .438 hitting percentage (8-1-16) and three blocks, and Scherine Dahoue had seven kills on a .312 clip (7-2-16).
WHAT A RUN
Set two was crucial for the Lancers, as they overcame a tough 25-18 loss in the first set. The Aggies looked to go up 2-0 in the match with a 20-17 lead in the second game, but the Lancers flipped the script with a 9-4 run.
CBU rattled off four-straight points to take a 21-20 lead on three blocks from Gorman and an ace from Oaks. The Aggies charged back and took set point, 24-22, until a van Noord kill gave the Lancers a huge sideout.
An error from NMSU sent Gorman to the service line and she promptly delivered an ace before a block from Laura Walewska and van Noord completed the comeback.
The Lancers did away with the dramatics from there, as their block locked in and servers continued to put the pressure on NM State for strong wins in sets three and four.
