The 17th-ranked Lancers have now won three-straight games to improve to 16-13 overall this season and 4-2 in the WWPA. Santa Clara drops to 12-12 and 2-4, while the Sagehens had their nine-game winning streak stopped and dropped to 19-8.
There were a number of highlight performances for CBU on Saturday. PJ McDonough scored a fourth-quarter hat trick, including the eventual winner with 77 seconds left in the game, and a game-high four goals to lead the Lancers to the opening win over the Broncos.

The Lancers will play two more WWPA games in the final week of the regular season and both are at home. CBU will first host Concordia on Thursday at 6 p.m. and will then welcome in Air Force on Saturday for a noon contest.
CBU will look to finish strong and secure the highest seed possible for the WWPA Championships, which will be played Nov. 19-21 at UC Davis.
The Aggies are the only undefeated team left in the conference at 6-0. Loyola Marymount is currently in second at 5-1 in conference, while Air Force (5-2) and UC San Diego (4-2) all have just two WWPA losses like CBU (4-2). Santa Clara (2-4), Fresno Pacific (2-5), Concordia (1-5) and Biola (0-8) round out the WWPA standings.
