Lancers Keep Battling At The Goodwin

PALO ALTO --- California Baptist University finished the second round of The Goodwin on Friday, as the Lancers currently sit in 28th.
Eighth-ranked Arizona State jumped Stanford for the day-two lead, with a 7-under-par second-round score of 273. ASU takes the lead with a 9-under-par 551 to hold a five-stroke lead over Stanford. The Cardinal are in second with a 4-under-par 556, while Saint Mary's jumped seven spots to take third with a 6-over-par 566.
James Mackie made the biggest jump for the Lancers on day two, shooting a 3-over-par 73 to take T-114th. John Hayes shot a 79 and is T-128th, while Jacob Smith signed a 76 and is T-131st. Justin Cross carded an 80 and moved to T-140th while Dan Heron is currently T-145th.
Blake Hathcoat of Saint Mary's is one stroke in front of the 146 golfers with a 7-under-par 132.
The Lancer will tee off in the final round of The Goodwin on Saturday, March 27, at 8 a.m.
