It was a dominant showing by the Lancers from start to finish, as they outshot the Vaqueros, 14-8, and controlled possession for most of the game.

It was all Lancers after that, as the backline helped control the pace, and Romy Salvador added four saves to grab her seventh shutout on the year.
"After narrowly missing an opportunity on Thursday, we knew this was a must perform game for us," said St. Clair. "UTRGV is a tough place to play, but I'm really proud of how our team rose to the challenge earning a gritty three points on the road. Our defense was stellar, and what a great goal by Ari. Our attacking players did a good job of creating scoring opportunities and narrowly missing a few more goals. We now turn our attention to preparing for another difficult road trip at GCU."

The Lancers will stay on the road next week when they face Grand Canyon on April 1 and April 3.
