Badawiya Named TicketSmarter WAC Player of the Week

RIVERSIDE --- California Baptist University's Rola Badawiya was named TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Badawiya, a senior forward from Riverside, put together two strong performances against Chicago State last week in the conference series. In the first game against the Cougars, Badawiya recorded a brace, with her first goal coming just five minutes after kickoff. She went on to record a hat-trick in the final meeting against the Cougars, combing for 10 points on the week. She now leads the conference in both goals (5) and assists (12).
Badawiya is now the third Lancer to earn the weekly honor, as Romy Salvador and Ari Coronado have both garnered the top award on the season.
The Lancers will hit the road this week, as they face Utah Valley on March 11 at 5 p.m. (PST) and March 13 at 12 p.m. (PST).
