Lancers Start Road To Eighth Straight Title

RIVERSIDE --- California Baptist University will head into the final round of the National Cheerleaders Association Collegiate Cheer Nationals in second, as the cheer program will look to capture its eighth straight title.
With COVID-19 regulations in place, each team recorded and presented the routines virtually. The Lancers finished the prelims with a score of 94.67, trailing Clemson University by a narrow margin. The Tigers recorded a 95.43 to edge the Lancers while the University of New Hampshire finished in third with a score of 94.30.
The finals will be streamed on VarsityTV on Saturday, April 10, with a live award ceremony following shortly after.
"This has been a challenging year, but this team continues to show up and work hard," said head coach Olivia Miller. "We will keep preparing and sharpening our tools to get ready for the finals as we look to defend our title."
