SHAWNEE --- After a perfect 12-0 season, California Baptist University's STUNT team is headed to its first-ever DI/DII STUNT National Championship in Shawnee, Oklahoma, April 30 – May 1.
The Lancers finished the 2021 season with an undefeated 12-0 record and claimed their first-ever West Coast Championship after sweeping conference play. The Lancers earned the automatic bid to the National Championship and the No. 1 seed in this double-elimination style tournament.
With the top seed in the field of six teams, the Lancers earned a bye from round one and will face the winner of Davenport and Dallas Baptist on April 30 at 3:30 p.m. (PST). All games will be streamed via FloCheer, and a subscription is required to watch.
The Lancers are familiar with three of the six teams after facing Oklahoma Baptist, Dallas Baptist, and Concordia (CA) in the regular season. CBU's closest game came against Oklahoma Baptist on March 1 in a 14-12 Lancer victory. It marked the closest margin of victory on the season for the Lancers.
"We are beyond excited and ready to represent CBU at the National Championship," said head coach Brandon Seagondollar. "I'm proud of this team and all they have accomplished this season, but we aren't done yet. Our goal is to bring a National Championship back to Riverside."
