Schumacher Earns Fourth WAC Player of the Week Honor

ARLINGTON, Texas– California Baptist University goalkeeper Noa Schumacher has been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, for the match week ending on Monday, Oct. 24.
Shumacher, a graduate goalkeeper, had another strong defensive presence in the Lancers shutout victory over Utah Tech and a tie against Southern Utah. Shumacher has now been named the TicketSmarter WAC Player of the Week for the fourth time this season. Schumacher has a total of 80 saves on the season with an average of 6.15 per game along with a save percentage of .842.
Her fourth honor this season is more than any Lancer has ever had in a career, let alone a single-season. She already owns the Division I era, single-season record for saves with 80 and counting while also ranking second in save percentage at 84.2%.
CBU's regular season will conclude in Riverside at the new CBU Soccer Complex with a pair of matches against ninth-place Sam Houston on Thursday at 7 p.m. and fourth-place New Mexico State on Saturday at 7 p.m.
