CBU moves to 11-10 on the season with one more game left this weekend in the Amy S. Harrison Classic. The Lancers have won six of their last nine games. Oregon State (16-3) extended its impressive win streak to 13-in-a-row after taking a pair of games at Funk Stadium on Saturday, while Sacred Heart drops to 2-8 so far this year.
GAME ONE
The Beavers scored two runs in the first and fifth innings, adding another three in the top of the seventh for extra insurance. CBU starting pitcher Jordan Schuring was tagged with the loss after giving up four earned runs on nine hits, with four strikeouts in five innings of work.
At the plate, Sydney Soto recorded her first multi-hit game as a Lancer, going 2-for-3 against OSU. Deja Westbrook put a single into the center field grass in the bottom of the fourth, while freshman third baseman Karmyna Becerra legged out her second triple of the season in the bottom of the seventh for her lone hit of the game.

CBU enjoyed a strong crowd of 419 spectators in the afternoon contest. It was the largest crowd since hosting Grand Canyon in a conference weekend series during the 2019 season.GAME TWO
The second game of the day saw a complete transformation by the Lancers as head coach Mike Smith used a brand new lineup and struck gold to the tune of 11 runs on 13 hits. Nine Lancers combined to collect the hits, with Becerra, Amanda Argomaniz, Katelyn Mangrello and Makenna Dashiell each knocking two.
The Lancers put up half a dozen runs in the first inning, which began with six-straight hits for CBU. Becerra brought in the first run as just the second Lancer to step into the box on Saturday night, doubling in Soto from first. Argomaniz singled next to score Becerra.

Maile Olsen kept the hits coming with a single, moving Argomaniz to third, and they were both brought home in the next at-bat when Mangrello doubled to right center for two of her three RBI on the day. Westbrook was up next and took a 3-1 pitch to the opposite field, cruising into third with a stand-up triple that scored Mangrello.

The Pioneer starting pitcher was pulled after that as she had allowed six earned runs on six hits without recording an out. Her reliever induced a line out, a sacrifice fly from Dashiell that scored Mangrello and an infield fly to end the inning.
Sacred Heart would leave one stranded in the top of the second after working a walk, but the Lancers were right back at it on offense, scoring another five runs on six hits while also taking advantage of a pair of Pioneer errors.
Argomaniz brought in the first two runs on a double to left center, before Olsen would plate her pinch runner, Alissa Montes De Oca, in the very next at-bat. Mangrello would smack another double to right center, scoring Olsen easily. Dashiell would record her second RBI of the night on a single to right field, scoring pinch runner Brooke Piazza.
A second SHU relief pitcher would allow just three hits to the Lancers in the final three innings, but the damage was plenty done. SHU managed to avoid the shutout after an inning opening walk scored on a mishandled double in the top of the third.
Alyssa Argomaniz earned win number four on the season after allowing zero earned runs on six hits and five strikeouts in three innings of work. Amanda Hernandez closed out the final two innings allowing four hits and just one walk to go with two strikeouts.
