
Lancers Finish Final Round AT Bandon Dunes Invitational

BANDON --- California Baptist University's men's golf team closed out the Bandon Dunes Invitational on Tuesday, as the Lancers finished in 12th out of 15 teams.
No. 30 Oregon claimed the team championship after an 11-over-par 863 team to hold off San Jose State by two strokes. San Jose State took second with a 13-over-par 865 team score, while No. 9 Kansas completed the podium at third with a 14-over-par 866 team score.
The Lancers ended the three-day tournament in 12th with a 49-over-par 901 to finish ahead of Hartford, SIU Edwardsville, and Air Force.
Sean Citherlet led the Lancers for all three days, finishing at T-30th with an 8-over-par 221. John Hayes finished behind Citherlet at T-52nd with a 13-over-par 226, while Eeli Kujanpää placed T-59th with a14-over-par 227. Luke Bartram signed 17-over-par 230 to take 71st, while James Mackie claimed T-88th with a 23-over-par.
Caleb Shetler of San Jose State held onto his lead in the final round to win the tournament with a 4-under-par 209.
Next week, the Lancers will head to the desert to tee it up at the Grand Canyon Invitational on March 14-15.
