
Loh Goes Low During Day Two Of WAC Championships

KERRVILLE --- California Baptist University women's golf's Hailey Loh led the charge for the Lancers during the second round of the Western Athletic Conference Championships, moving up nine spots during Tuesday's round.
Loh put together a near-perfect round with three birdies, one bogey, and 14 pars to tie her career-best with a 2-under-par 70. Loh finished the day in a tie for fourth after moving up nine spots with a 3-over-par 77-70=147.

Jocelyn Chee and Sofia Chabon joined Loh inside the top-10, as Chee finished in a tie for sixth after back-to-back 2-over-par 74's for a 148 total, while Chabon placed T-9th with a 7-over-par 73-78=151. Chabon is currently tied for second in the field when it comes to par-3 scoring with a 1-under-par 2.88 average.
Haruka Shintani climbed up the leaderboard a team-best 24 spots to place 15th after an even-par 72 in the second round. Shintani sits two strokes off the top-10 with a 9-over-par 81-72=153. Filipa Capelo also moved up the leaderboard, climbing up 14 spots to place T-25th with a 13-over-par 81-76=157.
The three-day, 54-hole event is being held at Riverhill Country Club, as the 12 teams are on the par-72 6,196-yard course. With CBU in its final year of the transition process, the Lancers aren't eligible to post a team score in the standings. If they were, the Lancers are currently in a tie for first with NM State with a 21-over-par 597. The Lancers recorded the best team score on the day, posting a 4-over-par 292.
As for the official team scores, NM State continues to stay out in front after the second day, while Sam Houston is in second with a 27-over-par 603. Seattle U is currently in third with a 35-over-par 611, while Grand Canyon is in fourth with a 43-over-par 619.
Siripatsorn Patchana of Grand Canyon managed to take the solo lead after the first two rounds with a 2-under-par 71-71=142.
The Lancers are set to tee off at 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20, for the third and final round.
