CBU's offense did away with any dramatics, as it scored the first eight runs over the opening four innings on Saturday at Bannerwood Park. It secured the Lancers' ninth series victory of the season, as they improve to 31-17 overall and 17-10 in the Western Athletic Conference. Seattle U moves to 16-29, 11-16. It keeps CBU with a strong hold on second place in the WAC standings, with Sacramento State (15-13) and Dixie State (12-15) the only teams still within striking distance with one conference series left this year.
Russell Stevenson led CBU's offense, which totaled 15 hits, with a four-hit game that included two runs scored and two runs batted in. Harrison Spohn, Chad Castillo and Mitchel Simon each had two hits, while Ulises Caballero and David Martin homered in the game.

CBU scored in each of the first four innings, with three multi-run frames. Spohn led off the game with a single and then scored on a two-out single from Stevenson, and Caballero hit a two-run homer in the second.
Bases-loaded walks to Josiah Chavez, Caballero and an RBI grounder from Connor Clift made it 6-0 in the third. In the fourth, Martin went deep and Jake Skipworth drove in Stevenson, who doubled with two outs.

Stevenson picked up his second RBI of the day with a single in the sixth that made it 9-0. The Lancers brought the run rule into effect with four more runs in the seventh on two-run singles from Spohn and Castillo after singles from Grady Tuohy and Michael Carpentier earlier in the frame.
Tuohy preserved Necochea's no-hitter with an inning-ending diving catch in center field in the sixth.
