Schumacher Earns Third TicketSmarter WAC Defensive Player of the Week Award

DENVER --- For the third time this season, California Baptist University's Noa Schumacher has been named TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office Tuesday.
Schumacher, a graduate transfer from Cal State Fullerton, recorded her second straight weekly award from the conference office after a 1-0 shutout victory over Seattle U. The Torrance native was perfect between the sticks in the Lancers' second conference game, recording six saves to secure her third shutout of the season.
With her third weekly award from the conference office on the season, Schumacher passes the Lancers' previous record for defensive player of the week held by Romy Salvador in the 2020 season (2).
The Lancers are on the road this week for conference play, taking on Utah Valley on Friday, Sept. 30, at 6 p.m. (PST).
