Citherlet Finishes Strong as Lancers Finish Out CBU Invitational

PHOENIX – California Baptist University men's golf team wrapped up the GCU Invitational on Tuesday afternoon in 13th place out of 16 teams. The Lancers tournament was highlighted by the sensational play of Sean Citherlet, who carded three-straight rounds of even or better to pace the team in Phoenix.
Citherlet went 70-71-70 to close out the tournament with a 211 to place tied for 11th place at 2-under par. Eeli Kujanpaa was the next highest-finishing Lancer, shooting an even 71 on Tuesday to close out the event in T50.
Ryan Fisher (T68) finished with a score of 11-over par over 54 holes, while Luke Bartram (T77) was fourth for the Lancers, carding a 2-over par in the final round. John Hayes (T80) closed out the scoring team with a final round of 6-over par.
The Lancer men will have a week off before heading down to La Jolla to participate in the Triton Invitational hosted by UC San Diego. Rounds one and two will occur on March 27, with the final round happening on March 28.
