
CBU Welcomes Tyrone Martin as Assistant Women's Soccer Coach

RIVERSIDE--- California Baptist University's women's soccer program has announced the hiring of Tyrone Martin as an assistant coach for the 2023 season. Martin joins the experienced coaching staff of head coach Kristen St. Clair and associate head coach Tim Strader.
Martin comes to Riverside after coaching at all different levels in Southern California. Most recently, he was an assistant coach at the men's semi-pro level with the Southern California Seahorses and at the NAIA level with the women's soccer team at Westcliff University. Some of Martin's duties included recruitment, pre-game scouting reports, and providing quality training sessions. He was also a youth soccer coach with the Los Angeles Galaxy for the last six years and had a three-year stint as the associate head boy's soccer coach at Pacifica Christian High School in Newport Beach.
Martin played NCAA Division I soccer at San Diego State University for three years and attended NAIA institution Indiana Wesleyan University for two years before playing semi-pro soccer with the Southern California Seahorses. During college, he was named Top 100 Freshman in the Nation, Conference Player of the Year, and NAIA First Team All-American.
