Del Valle Sweeps Air Force Diving Invitational

USAFA, CO --- The California Baptist diving team continued their season this weekend at the Air Force Academy Diving Invitational in Colorado. The week saw one Zone E qualifying score, along with a sweep on the men's side.

Mario Del Valle had the big weekend for the Lancers as he swept the board, winning all three events. Del Valle started the weekend with a win in 3m diving with a score of 378.85. He added a win in 1m on Friday with 372.35 points, and concluded the weekend with 408.40 points in platform.

Gael Jimenez added a second-place finish in 1m for the Lancers with 370.20. John Angelovic placed fifth in 3m (318.50) and 1m (285.40).

Audrey Easter added a Zone E qualifying score for the Lancers this weekend as she scored 232.75 points in the platform prelims.

The Lancers will continue the season next month at the MPSF Conference Tournament. The NCAA Diving Zone E Championships will begin on March 9.
