Palmer Named WAC Pitcher of the Week

RIVERSIDE--- The California Baptist baseball team did a bit of spring cleaning this weekend after taking down Seattle University four times, picking up the squad's seventh win and first sweep of the year. Part of their success can be attributed to Ryne Palmer's impressive outing on Sunday, which secured the series and earned him Western Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week honors.
Palmer tossed five innings and allowed just three hits, teeing up his relief pitchers for another shutout game. The senior right-hander sat down six Redhawks and earned his first pitching win of the season, while lowering his season ERA to 1.80. Palmer has been a solid addition to the starting pitcher rotation for the Lancers this season.
CBU will look to continue its seven-game winning streak tomorrow evening as it welcomes CSUN to Totman Stadium at 6 p.m.
