Malki Named WAC Pitcher of the Week

RIVERSIDE---The Western Athletic Conference dubbed Michael Malki as the WAC Pitcher of the Week after his efforts from the mound on Friday night. The sophomore delivered an exceptional outing against the CBU win over Harvard, earning himself his first weekly award in his collegiate career.
Malki tossed six innings of control, sitting down eight batters and giving up just two hits during his time on the bump. His effective Friday night dropped him to a 2.25 ERA for this season, leading the staff in both earned run average and strikeouts at 39. The righty's pitching win over Harvard improves him to 4-0 this season.
Malki is the second Lancer to be named WAC Pitcher of the Week this season and the third weekly award for the CBU baseball program in 2026.
