THIS YEAR: Coming off a breakout 2007 campaign, senior All-GSAC reliever Brandon Daily is poised to be one of the top relievers in the conference again ... Has a resilient arm ... Is very competitive ... Noted for his tireless work ethic ... Will throw solely in the late innings.
2007: Enjoyed a career year, setting personal high water marks in appearances, wins, ERA, saves, innings and strikeouts ... Named All-GSAC and all-region ... Was 6-2 with a 3.05 ERA to go along with five saves ... Had 45 strikeouts in 41.1 innings and held opponents to a .232 average ... Made seven straight appearances (18 innings) without giving up an earned run ... Tossed a season-high 5.2 innings of scoreless, four-hit relief with eight strikeouts in a 7-4 win at Biola ... Picked up a save with three scoreless innings and three strikeouts at eventual national champion Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) ... Earned a victory with 4.1 innings of scoreless relief against GSAC champion and No. 2-ranked Azusa Pacific in the regular-season finale ... Saved the Lancers’ 3-1 playoff-opening win over Biola ... Earned NAIA and GSAC Scholar-Athlete honors.
2006: Made six relief appearances, allowing 3 earned runs while striking out eight in 5.2 innings of work ... Did not give up an earned run in each of his final five appearances of the year ... Struck out two each in wins over The Master’s and Vanguard ... Earned All-GSAC Scholar-Athlete honors.
2005: Redshirted the 2005 season.
2004: Pitched in four games, all in relief, as a 2004 freshman ... Was 1-0 with 12.27 ERA ... Had three strikeouts, walked four and gave up six hits in 3.2 innings ... Picked up his only decision by pitching a scoreless inning against Westmont.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped two varsity seasons for head coach John Livermont at Palmdale (Calif.) High, graduating in 2003 ... Earned school’s fireman pitching award as a junior ... Named school’s valedictorian ... Earned Scholar-Athlete status all four years ... Played club for ABD ... Team won World Wood Bat Championships in 2003 and went to Junior Olympics in 2002.
