THIS YEAR: After a solid junior campaign, senior Brandon Peters will be the focal point of the Lancer offense ... Could make a push for postseason honors ... Has draft potential ... Will hit third and play left after spending all of last sesaon on the infield ... Is one of the hardest workers on the team ... Is a switch hitter but possesses most of his power from the left side.
2007: Played in 50 games, starting 41 of them ... Was second on the team, hitting .345 (51-for-148) and was second with 12 doubles ... Also had 40 RBIs, 33 runs, seven home runs, 15 walks and just 14 strikeouts ... Had 14 multi-hit games ... Was 4-for-4 with three RBIs against Vanguard ... Was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and a home run against GSAC champion and No. 2-ranked Azusa Pacific ... Was 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in a win over Concordia ... Had a season-high four RBIs and was 2-for-4 with a home run against Patten ... Hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth in a 7-6 win over No. 7 Lubbock Christian (Texas).
JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played two seasons for head coach Kevin Hazelett at Mesa Community College in San Diego, Calif. ... Was a two-time All-Pacific Coast Conference second team selection ... Hit .302 with seven home runs, 15 doubles, 16 stolen bases and 48 RBIs as a 2006 sophomore ... Hit .365 with five home runs, 16 doubles, 10 stolen bases and 46 RBIs in earning team freshman of the year honors as a 2005 freshman.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped two varsity seasons for head coach Sam Blaylock at national prep-power Rancho Bernardo High in San Diego, Calif., graduating in 2002 ... Was a member of the nation’s No. 1-ranked team as a 2001 junior.
